Earl Michael, age 96, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at 3:50 PM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born April 28, 1919 in Nappanee, IN to Mervin and Elmeda (Wagner) Michael. He was a 65 year resident of Warsaw, IN. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater as a Staff Sergeant with Company H 135th Medical Regiment from 1941 to 1945. He was united in marriage to Mary Osborne in Warsaw on October 13, 2001. He served as a Machine Operator for the Christner Gravel Company. A member of First Christian Church of Warsaw he was also a member of the American Legion Post#49 of Warsaw. Survivors include his wife Mary Michael of Warsaw; a son David Michael of Indianapolis, IN; stepson Pat (spouse Jane) McClure of Spartanburg, SC and stepdaughter Kathy (Doug) Horton of Carmel, IN. In addition, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren survive. His first wife Clara Mae Michael on January 28, 2001, one sister and three brothers preceded him. Visitation hours are scheduled on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services are scheduled at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 with Pastor Gary Boschain officiating in the funeral chapel. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery with Military Honors performed by Warsaw American Legion Post # 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1126 of Warsaw.
