Dyrell “Buck” Kreis

Dyrell C. “Buck” Kreis, age 74 of Claypool, Indiana passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 4:45 AM in Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw. He was born February 17, 1945 in Claypool, IN to Dyrell W. and Dessie (Kline) Kreis. He honorably served his Country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967, attaining the rank of Specialist 4 with 510th Engineer Company. He was united in marriage to Barbara Albertson on July 18, 1978 in Claypool, who preceded him on August 23, 2014. He was employed by the Town of Claypool serving as Town Marshall and Utilities Superintendent. He was member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge #1423, V.F.W. Post #1126 and American Legion Post #49. Surviving are a son Dyrell A. (Sarah Mills) Kreis of Claypool, IN; his step-daughter, Janice (Roger) Craft, Warsaw, five grandchildren, Zachary (Morgan) Rautenkranz, Silver Lake, Kayla Dove, Warsaw, Jimmy Dove, Warsaw, Payton, Payge, Isaac and Daniel Kreis, Claypool; three great-grandchildren Claire Dove and James Dove, IV and Diana and Lucas Rautenkranz. In addition to wife Barb, he was preceded by two sisters and a step-daughter Jackie Rautenkranz. Visitation hours are scheduled from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday, June 11 with his Funeral Service following at 12:00 PM, Tuesday. Pastor William Whitaker will officiate the services. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool with Military Honors rendered by VFW Post # 1126 and American Legion Post #49.
