Dylan A. Parcels

Dec 15, 2002 — Oct 24, 2026

South Whitley

Dylan A. Parcels, 23, was taken from this world on Saturday, October 24, 2026 after a motorcycle accident in Mishawaka, Indiana.

He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on December 15, 2002. His parents are Miranda and Jason Thomas and Jeffrey Parcels. He graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 2021.

It was in high school that he met his best friend and love of his life, Kate. They treasured 8 years of love, laughs and memories, and are excitedly expecting their first child. Kate brought out the best versions of Dylan. And he in return, always made her laugh and took care of her. The couple became one in Columbia City, Indiana on July 25, 2025.

As soon as he turned 18, Dylan began working with his dad, Jason, at Polywood in Syracuse. He was a hard worker and always hungry for the next level and to succeed. Dylan, all in a matter of 5 years, developed from a builder, to CNC operator then CNC trainer, to supervisor and most recently a plant manager.

Dylan and Kate were always with each other, rarely seen apart. They enjoyed going to concerts and traveling to new places. He liked snowboarding, skateboarding, golfing and learning how to work on cars. Dylan grew up in the Lakeland Grace Brethren Church in Warsaw.

Dylan’s appearance would make you think Carhartt was all he owned. He had a generous heart and his emotions always seemed deeper than most. He wasn’t picky but he also never settled. If Dylan’s mind was set to a task, he would get it done. He was strong-willed, conscious of others and sensitive, making him one of a kind. He was the greatest big brother and loved endlessly.

He is deeply missed by his loving wife and mother to their soon-to-be child, Kate, of South Whitley; his parents, Miranda and Jason Thomas of North Carolina; his father, Jeff Parcels of Chicago, IL; his siblings: Stephen (Kinsey) Pease of Fort Wayne, Autumn (fiancée Kurtis Ley) Pease of Decatur, IN, Abigail Parcels of Kalamazoo, MI, and Bryson and Jackson Thomas of North Carolina; nieces, Emilia and Kyah Pease; best friends, Riley and Carolyn Wilson, and godson, Leland Wilson; maternal grandparents, Nila and Bob Saunders of Fort Wayne and paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Sandy Parcels of Warsaw.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 12-2 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rob Cover officiating.
