Dorothy J. Henderson

Dorothy J. Henderson, 94 of Warsaw, Indiana, Went to be with her Lord and Savior, with her family by her side at 2:10 pm, Friday, October 21, 2011 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. On September 20, 1917, Dorothy was born to John and Nora (Deal) Hani in South Bend, Indiana. She married Albert K. Henderson Sr. on June 27, 1936 in South Whitley, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2006. Dorothy lived most of her life in Kosciusko County. She graduated from Leesburg High School in 1936. Dorothy and her husband owned their own farm then later in life she worked for the Kosciusko County Auditor's Office and Sears Department Store. Dorothy attended Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood and was a member of the Palestine Busy Bees Home Ec Club. Dorothy is survived by a son, Albert K. (and spouse Jean) Henderson Jr., Sylvania, Ohio; 2 daughters, Tana S. (and spouse Larry) Beeson, Bremen and Diana J. (and spouse Rob) Askins, Warsaw. 6 grandchildren, Jill (and spouse Dave) Miller, Amy Henderson, Laura (and spouse Steve) Henderson-DeLoach, Ryan B. (and spouse Cathy) Beeson, Melissa (and spouse Bill) Hartman and Robyn (and spouse Chad) Cagnet. 8 great grandchildren, Daniel and Allison Miller; Henry DeLoach; Nicholas, Jacob and Andrew Beeson; Sydney Hartman and Chloe Cagnet.Dorothy was alos preceded in death by a brother, Carroll “Chick” Hani. Funeral services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Bryan Koorey officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw at a later date. Visitation hours will be from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral chapel, on Saturday, October 29, 2011.
