Doris Gene Troy

Doris Gene Troy, 91, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 10/16/2010 at 3:00 am at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on June 22, 1919 in Warsaw, Indiana. Gene was born to Elmo and Leone (Roberts) Calvert. She formerly resided in Cedar Rapids, IA; Chicago, IL; New Canaan, CT and Fort Madison, IA. On May 3, 1941 in Warsaw, IN she was united in marriage to Francis Eugene Troy, who preceded her in death. Gene was a homemaker and a former elementary school teacher for Warsaw Community Schools. She was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church of Warsaw, IN and Delta Gamma Sorority. Gene Was an avid Camper, Traveler, Hiker, Reader and Fisherman. She loved Spirital Education and Religious Studies, spending time with people and laughter. She spent many volunteer hours at Grace College in Winona Lake, IN assisting the students. Gene is survived by her loving family including her daughter Beverly (and spouse Warren Andrews) Adams of Denver. CO and her son Stephen Troy of Huron, SD.In addition she is survived by her grandchildren Luke Adams, Jennifer Adams and Kelly Adams. Father Daniel Martins will officiate the Funeral Mass. Services will be held at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Warsaw, Indiana on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Calling hours will be 12:00 - 1:00 pm at the church. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
