Donovan K. “Tom” Rager, Jr.

Donovan K. “Tom” Rager, Jr., age 80, of Pierceton, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:31 PM in his residence. He was born on April 14, 1938 in Three Rivers, Michigan to Donovan K. and Veronica K. (Kroll) Rager, Sr. He was united in marriage to Janice Rae Adair on October 8, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. During their marriage they lived on the family farm in Wayne, Illinois before moving to Pierceton, Indiana for the remainder of their time together. During his life, Tom was a Union Steel Worker and was a member of Iron Worker’s Local #1 in Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by his Wife; Janice Rager of Pierceton, IN, Son; Michael (spouse Christine) Rager of Warrenville, IL, Daughter; Kathleen (Mike Novacek) Matela of Rockwood, TN, Grandson; Brian (spouse Christine) McIntyre and their two children Madison and Collin of Shorewood, IL, Grandson; Peter McIntyre and his two children Seth and Emma of Lockport, IL, 3 Sisters and 2 Brothers also survive. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents who loving raised him from childhood; Levi and Laura Rager. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Visitation will be two hours prior to the Funeral Service from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will officiate the Funeral. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
