Donald M Shepherd

Donald Malcom Shepherd, 78 of Ligonier, Indiana passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 20, 2024, at 7:15 AM.

He was born November 17, 1945, in Warsaw, Indiana to Odis and Ethel (Johnson) Shepherd. He was a graduate of Claypool High school Class of 1964.

Don lived much of his life in the Warsaw/Ligonier area, spending the last 6-7 years splitting time between Wildwood, Florida and Indiana. On or around 2001/2002 he met Patrica Ann (Teel) Slone, “Patty” of Ligonier, 0n April 3, 2007 he married Patty who Loved Don to the day he died.

Don loved to drive and knew every route and road across the country. After hurricane Katrina Don started pulling trailers to the south and got the bug. He bought a 2005 Dodge Dually and didn’t stop until he had over a million miles on that truck. Don loved his IU basketball and NASCAR.

Patty survives with Donalds four children, Brenda Denise Harrison and husband Haywood Harrison of Argos, Indiana, Donald Brent Shepherd and Wife Heather, of Paicines, California, Odis Jack Shepherd of Rochester, Indiana, Mindy Sue and Husband Chris Tackett of Warsaw.

Twelve Grandchildren, Desiree Gilbert, Benjamin Gilbert, Latisha Colburn, Dalton Shepherd, Zachary Shepherd, Casandra Shepherd, Jack Shepherd, Richie Hernandez Jr, Cesar Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, Tyas Lanno, Marcus Hinkle.

Fifteen Great Grand Children

Donald was proceeded in Death by his parents and his four brothers Arnold, Riley, Raymond, John Billy (JB)

Friends may visit with family on Thursday February 29, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, a

funeral service will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels of

Warsaw, Indiana. Pastor Glen Hughes will officiate.

Donald will be buried next to his parents at

Graceland Cemetery in Claypool, Indiana. Burial will be at a later date.
