Donald L. “Swovy” Swoverland, age 71, of Warsaw, IN passed away May 10, 2011 at 5:35 pm in Mason Healthcare Rehabilition, Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on July 14, 1939 in Argos, Indiana to Lee and Lois (Seitz) Swoverland.He married Lois (Barnett) Stull on February 29, 1972 in Warsaw.He was a 43 year resident of Warsaw.Donald worked for RR Donnell Sons as a Machine Operator for 38 years, retiring in 1999.He was a member of the American Legion Post #49, Warsaw. A US Army veteran serving from 1957-1959. He is survived by his wife Lois Swoverland, Warsaw3 sons, Thomas (and spouse Diana) Stull, Warsaw; Edward (and spouse Crystal) Swoverland, Mishawaka, Indiana and Mark (and spouse Judy) Swoverland, Indianapolis.2 daughters, Rhonda Hardy, Warsaw and Donna Romano, Laville, In.2 sisters, Margaret Mikesell, Rochester, In and Dorothy Overmeyer, Argos, In13 grandchildren2 great grandchildrenPreceded in death by his parents and 1 sister. Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. The service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the funeral chapel. Pastor Terry Bradford will be officiating the service. Burial will be Oakwood Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post # 1126 both of Warsaw.
