Donald Drudge

Donald D. Drudge, 85, passed away Wednesday evening December 13, 2023 at Addison Pointe Health and Rehabilitation in Chesterton, Indiana.

Donald was born in in Wheatfield, Indiana on September 6, 1938 to Eugene Ross and Florence Benita (Robinette) Drudge. He graduated from Pierceton High School with the class of 1937.

Don served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged in 1962. He also served in the Air Force Reserves as a Sargeant and a vehicle dispatcher.

In Clintwood, Virginia, Don married Barbara I. Earl on October 3, 1960. The couple would make the Warsaw area their home and share 53 years of love, laughs and memories before her passing in 2013.

Don enjoyed being a truck driver working for Dickerhoff Trucking, Metzger Trucking, Maple Leaf Farms and lastly for Tom Farms.

Don is survived by his daughter Deborah (Patrick) Shay of Michigan City, IN; his 3 grandchildren, Kara Montel, Kayla Pier (Trent Butcher) and Ryan (Mary) Shelton, 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister Janice (Steve) Rodgers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Barb and sister Sandra Bucher.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 19, 2023 from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm with Chaplain Christopher Lee Williams officiating. A burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton with Military Honors.
