Donald C. Atchison

Donald C. Atchison age 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday May 24th, 2012 at 10:03 am at Casa De Laluz, Tucson, Arizona. On August 15th 1927 Donald was born to Floyd and Bertha (McGuire) Atchison in Warsaw, In. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County residing in Warsaw. On March 23rd, 1946 he married Martha Hamman in Warsaw, whom passed away December 27th, 1997. Donald was employed by NIPSCO as a Customer Service Supervisor, for 35 years retiring September 1st 1983. Donald served in the US Army and the Merchant Marines. Donald was also a member of the American Legion Post 49. Donald was very active in the men’s bowling league of Warsaw and coached little league for many years. Donald moved to Tucson Arizona to be close to his family in 2005.Donald is survived by his daughter Cheryl (Jim) Simonsen, Tucson Az., and son Larry Hamman (Kyong Hai) Montgomery Al., sisters Janice Robison of Elkhart, In., Elaine Nine of Warsaw, IN., a brother Floyd Atchison of Bedford, IN. Donald has 3 grand children, Donald of Tucson AZ., along with Debra and Kimberly of Loganville GA. Donald was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, sisters Ruby Golding, Mabel Armey, Marilyn Lilly, and brothers Robert Atchison and Bill Atchison. Funeral services for Donald will be held at Saturday June 2nd, 2012, 10:00am at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will be on Friday, June 1st from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at the Funeral Chapel Warsaw. Pastor Bob Jarboe will be officiating the service.
