Dolores E Knouff

Dolores “Pinky” E. Knouff, age 97, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Season Home Care, Warsaw.

Dolores was born March 9, 1926 in Kosciusko County the daughter of (the late) Howard and Ora (Grimes) Knouff.

During her childhood and high school years her family lived in the Warsaw and Winona Lake area. During the depression era her father moved the family to Alabama for about a year after which they returned to this area. She was known to be a hard worker and very frugal, paying cash for her first house in 1972. She retired as an office employee for Rodeheaver Publishing Company. Pinky loved playing cards with her friends. She was a self-taught accomplished pianist, a member at the Church of God for many years, and the music director in the late 50’s.

Dolores will be lovingly remembered by her nephews Rick D. (Linda) Cook of North Webster, Roger Knouff of Larwill ,Steve Knouff, and Bruce Knouff both of Warsaw, and niece Cindy Knouff of Warsaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by three sisters and three brothers.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Thursday March 23, 2023 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 pm on Friday March 24, 2023 in Salem Cemetery-Wilmot located at 11200 325 S, Cromwell, IN. Pastor Jerry Yoder will be officiating the service.
