Diane Darlington

Diane Darlington, 69 of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania passed away at 10:40 pm Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in her daughter’s residence, following a brief battle with brain cancer.. On March 31, 1948, she was born in Princeton, New Jersey to Robert W. and Norma (Thatcher) Ashbock. She was united in marriage to G. Ronald Darlington on August 22, 1970 in Princeton, New Jersey on the beautiful Campus of Princeton University. Ron preceded her in death in May of 2014. Diane was a graduate of Princeton High School, Princeton, New Jersey, Class of 1966. She was retired from Pennsylvania American Water Company. She is survived by two children, Beth Anne (and spouse Kevin Silcox) Darlington - Silcox, Warsaw and Todd Andrew (and spouse Monica) Darlington, Coatesville, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Ryan E. Darlington, Carsyn E. Silcox, Bennett R. Silcox all of Warsaw and Paige E. Darlington and Thatcher A. Darlington, both of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Diane was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert W. Ashbock Jr. of New Jersey. A celebration of life reception with be held on Friday, June 16th, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:30 pm at West Shores Elks, 108 St. Johns Road, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011.
