Dennis Michael Mattern

Dennis Michael Mattern, 59 of Manchester, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 12:15 pm in Rensselaer, Indiana. On July 14, 1952, Dennis was born to Carl L. and Bonnie L. (Armold) Mattern in Warsaw, Indiana. He lived most of his life in Bremen, Indiana. Dennis worked as a truck driver for 43 years. He was employed by TT Farms, Star City, Indiana where he worked for 15 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Plymouth. He loved trucking, riding his Harley Davidson and Putsing around. He is survived by his daughter, Brandi (and spouse Alfred) Himes, Argos; a son, Shawn Mattern, Bremen, Indiana; mother, Bonnie L. Black, Manchester, Tennessee; Half Sister, Melissa Mattern, Bremen; 2 granchildren, Loren Michael Mattern and Jack Dennis Mattern and 2 step grandchildren, Cody and Devan Himes. Dennis was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John Richard Mattern. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 1:00 pm at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw . Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Visitation hours will be on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm at the funeral chapel.
