Dennis L. Wertenberger, 64, of Pierceton, Indiana, died on 8/23/2010 at 3:16 am at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on November 3, 1945 in Warsaw, Indiana. Dennis was the son of Ralph and Waneta (David) Wertenberger Jr. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and worked as a self employed Farrier for 25 years. He also worked for Midwest Roll Forming Company, Pierceton and Symmetry Medical Corp., Warsaw.He married Paula M. Perkins McClain on May 27, 2004 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.Dennis was a member of American Legion Post #253, Pierceton and Eagles Lodge, Columbia City.Dennis is survived by his Wife; Paula Wertenberger, PiercetonDaughter; Deana (and spouse Tony) Eberly, South WhitleySon; Donald (and spouse LaWanda) Wertenberger, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma2 Sisters; Linda Lou Klotz, Fort WayneVicki Ousley, PiercetonMother-In-Law; Pauline Snyder, Piercetonand 7 Grandchildren. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, Indiana on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 11:00 am. Calling hours will be 2:00-4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton at a later date.. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton is in charge of arrangements. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Dennis L. Wertenberger Funeral Fund, C/o Paula Wertenberger.
