Denise Cody

Denise Ann Cody, 67, of Silver Lake, Indiana formerly of Columbia City, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne Indiana. Born May 31, 1954, in Rochester, Indiana, Denise was the daughter of Richard and Norma (Leiter) Moyer. Denise loved her cat, Sonny.  She enjoyed her flower gardens and sitting on the porch watching the birds. She loved cooking for her family and friends, taking long drives and listening to music, especially Fleetwood Mac. Denise will be lovingly remembered by her companion, Sam Millard Jr. of Silver Lake; her niece, Jessica (David) Creekmore of Silver Lake; brothers, Bob, Randy, Terry, Gary, Danny, Chris and Donald Moyer, sister Teresa Blanton, 8 nieces, 1 nephew, 11 great nephews, 5 great nieces, and 1 great-great nephew. She was preceded in passing by her grandparents, George and Barbara (Kuhn) Moyer, and JD and Bessie (Crist) Leiter; parents, Richard and Norma Moyer; an infant son and infant twins. A celebration of Denise’s life will be held at a later date at her niece’s home.  McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw have been entrusted with arrangements for the family.
