Delois Zimmerman

Delois Zimmerman, 73 of Mentone, Indiana passed away at 4:35 am Thursday, December 12, 2013 in his residence. On April 25, 1940, he was born in Warsaw, Indiana to Thorton and Fay (Smith) Zimmerman. He was united in marriage to Esther Hyde in Warsaw, who survives. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Delois worked forty years, as a chemical muller mixer for Warsaw Foundry. He was a member of Harvest Community Church, Pierceton, where he was very active in the church. Delois enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Esther Zimmerman, Mentone; his son, James (and spouse Karen) Zimmerman, Mentone; his daughter, Kathy (and spouse Bud) Phillips, Mentone; three grandchildren, James (and fiance' Nykole McGuire) Zimmerman, Nichole (and spouse Kevin) Satterthwaite and Tim (and fiance' Allison Orr) Perkins; his great grandson, Nicholas Satterthwaite; his twin sister, Delores Hyde and his step brother, Keith Berkas, Fort Wayne. Delois was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Evelyn Himes. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, December 16, 2013 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Glenn Hall and Pastor Lee Perry officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine. Visitation hours will be from 1:00 - 5:00 pm Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the funeral chapel.
