David S. Dills

David S. Dills, age 83, of Claypool, Indiana and formerly of Franklin, NC, and Kalamazoo, MI passed away March 12, 2012 at 8:20 AM in Grace Village Health Care and Rehabilitation Winona Lake, IN. He was born August 16, 1928 in Franklin, NC to William and Villa (Rogers) Dills. David was united in marriage to Mary Ramey in Waterford, MI on November 19, 1982. He retired in 1988 from General Motors Corporation in Kalamazoo as a Millwright. David faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion Post #475 Schoolcraft, MI, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 7339 Franklin, NC and the Eagles Aerie Portage, MI. David is survived by his wife Mary Dills of Claypool, IN; daughters Pam (Norm) Overweg of Vicksburg, MI, Debbie (Vern Overweg) Bright of Vicksburg, MI and Regina (Wayne) Hannah of Winona Lake, IN; son Randy Bright; grandchildren Kelly, Matt and Suzanna Overweg; Ryan Bright; Brooke Behar, Whitney and Alexander Hannah and six great grandchildren. In addition, nephews Billy Nicholson and Ronnie Dills survive. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday March 14, 2012 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Funeral Chapel. Rev.
