David L. Riehle

David L. Riehle, age 80, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 8:30 p.m. in his residence. David was born March 14, 1940 in Lafayette, Indiana to Albert Charles and Gladys (Widmer) Riehle. He was united in marriage to Mary Katherine Schilling on June 25, 1964.  He married Marilyn Webb on November 7, 2020. He  graduated from Lafayette Jeff High School and continued his education receiving a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University, Lafayette in 1963. He served in the US Army Reserves 29th Field Artillery in Rushville, Indiana from 1963 to 1969. David worked for Design Manufacturing Corp. from 1964 to 1989 and worked as a Non-Production Buyer for Reelcraft, Industries from 1997 to 2012. He was a member of the Jaycees Connersville, the President of the Connersville Babe Ruth League, and a life member of Knights of Columbus. David is survived by wife Marilyn Riehle, of Warsaw; children, Christina (Rick) Coon, of Decatur, Julia (Frederick) Krueger, of Washington, IN; grandchildren, Ethan, Tanner, Nathaniel, Delia, Ronald, and Trenton; and great grandchild, Gwyneth. He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Katherine Schilling on June 27, 2014; and grandson, William Albert on December 17, 1998. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Norton officiating.   A two-hour visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.   Interment will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver, Indiana at 1:30 pm. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements for the family. Due to current COVID-19 recommendations, masks are required.  The public is kindly requested to provide their own.
