David Brooks Casner, 72, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 12/17/2009 at 11:06 pm at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was born on January 15, 1937 in Shelbyville, Indiana. David was born to Clarence and Elizabeth (Brooks) Casner. On June 10, 1961, he married Ruth Cameron in Indianapolis, Indiana, she survives.After graduating from Warsaw High School class of 1955, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served 4 years as a crew member on radar constellations. He also flew surveillance flights from New Foundland to the Azores daily.After receiving a Bachelors Degree in Science from Indiana University, he was human resource manager for Sun Metal Products and later for Morton Thiokol.David was a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Rozella Ford Golf Course, Elks Lodge #802 and American Legion Post #49.he is also survived by 2 Sons; David C. (and spouse Cyndie) Casner, Boswell, Indiana and Matthew (and spouse Michelle) Casner, Warsaw, Indiana.2 Granddaughters; Morgan and McKenzie Casner, Warsaw, Indianaand 1 Brother; Jere “Kim” Casner, Big Sandy, Texas. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 3:00 pm. Calling hours will be 12:30 - 3:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Sunday, December 20, 2009. Burial will be private. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
