Dave S. Anderson

Dave S. Anderson, age 72, of North Webster, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. in his residence. Dave was born on May 26, 1947 in Winchester, IN to Robert Charles and Louise (Delk) Anderson. He was married to Jenilee Lundy on September 23, 1967 in North Webster, IN. He graduated from North Webster High School and attended Ball State University. Dave worked in Law Enforcement as an Indiana Conservation Officer from 1971 to 2002 retiring with 31 years of service. He was a rescue diver on the first State Dive Team consisting of the Indiana Conservation Department and the Indiana State Police. In addition, he was a longtime instructor of Hunter Education. For several years he was a Conservation Officer/ Instructor at C.O. Camp Mollenhour in Silver Lake, IN. He was also a longtime F.O.P. member where he formerly served as Secretary and was a life member and benefactor of the N.R.A. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Dave faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1972 as an E-5 Aviation Mechanic aboard the USS Bennington and USS Ranger aircraft carriers. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jenilee; son, Brett (Sarah) Anderson of Warsaw, IN; siblings, Janlyn (Keith) Schumacher of Ft. Wayne, IN, Dean (Sandi) Anderson of North Webster, IN; grandchildren, Cody (Madison) Anderson of North Webster, Clay Anderson of Ft. Collins, CO; step-grandchildren, London and Roman Hoffman both of Warsaw, IN; great-granddaughter, Malia Anderson; and step grand-children, Makaya Natalia Gohlke  Also, surviving is a sister-in-law Linda Anderson of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by brother Robert Charles Anderson Jr. of Pennsylvania. Services will be held at a later date. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with his care.
