Daniel Edward Rife

Daniel Edward Rife 71, of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday May 24, 2012 at 10:20 PM IN Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born on April 6, 1941 to Joseph and Edith (Ross) Rife in Greenfield, IN. He was a lifetime residence of Warsaw. On October 16, 1998 he married Judy Hohman in Warsaw. Dan started with Warsaw Fire Department in 1967 retiring in 1998. Dan held numerous positions with the department from Driver, Firefighter, Captain and Assistant Chief. He was the owner of Rife Electric until 1977. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge both of Warsaw and The Sons of the American Legion Post 253, North Webster, IN. Dan is survived by his wife Judy rife of Warsaw; Daughters Angie (and spouse Doug) Reed of Leesburg, IN, Jodie Yeazel, Kelly Jefferson both of Warsaw, Angie Alexander of North Manchester, Kimberly Minear of FL, Paula (and spouse Terry) Wood and Sherri (and spouse Shawn) Bradford both of Warsaw; a son Micheal (and spouse Christy) Summers of Warsaw.Numerous grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He is preceded in death by his parents.Dan loved his little red truck and his dogs. There will be a celebration of Dan’s life at the Warsaw Fireman’s Building on Saturday June 9, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
