Dallas Baugher

Dallas Baugher, 80 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Monday January 22, 2018 at 10:01 a.m. in his residence. He was born on August 6, 1937 and his parents were; Elmer and Bernice (Weaver) Baugher in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Esther Bednar on October 6, 1960 in Chesterton, Indiana. He came to the Warsaw area from Valparaiso in 1968. Dallas was a Machinist for Monsanto in Ligonier, IN retiring in 1986. He attended Warsaw Wesleyan Church. He was a heart transplant patient on February 14, 1989 and was also the longest living transplant patient with Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, IN. In addition, he loved fishing, building metal cars, short travel, genealogy, and spending time with his dog “Kosmo”. Dallas is survived by his wife, Esther Baugher of Warsaw; three sons, Robert (spouse Brenda) Baugher of Dewitt, MI, Aaron Baugher of Montaque, MI, Mark (spouse Angie) Baugher of Burton, MI; Two daughters, Cindy (spouse Brent) Moser of Pewamo, MI, Sherie (spouse Max) Sumpter of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren, Hope Koontz of Albion, IN, Brandon Klinefelter of Warsaw, Jory Baugher of Kimmel, IN, Amber Davis of St. Johns, MI, Clayton Deters of North Webster, IN, Nathan Baugher of North Manchester, IN, Shayne Baugher of Big Rapids, MI, Kenny Baugher of Burton, MI, Amanda Baugher of Livonia, MI, and Destiny Baugher of North Manchester, IN; 12 great grandchildren; three sisters Patty Hayes of Portage, IN, Lee Harris of Portage, IN, and Dolly (spouse Michael) Wallace of Valparaiso, IN One brother, Bob Brumbaugh of LaPorte, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Elmer Brumbaugh and a grandson; Zachary Baugher who preceded Dallas on June 7, 2015. On Monday, January 29, 2018 there will be a celebration of Dallas’s life at 6:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 PM prior to the Memorial Service on Monday, January 29, 2018 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Chaplin Ben Tippen of Great Lakes Hospice will officiate. Interment will be private and held at a later date with military honors; in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
