Cynthia K. Kammerer, lovingly known as “Muta”,  age 78, of Leesburg, Indiana passed away on Friday November 12, 2021, at her home. Born on April 29, 1943, in McDonald Hospital Warsaw, Indiana, Cynthia was the daughter of Floyd and Betty (Hart) Smith. She was united in marriage to Jerry Kammerer on December 8, 1963, in the Leesburg Methodist Church. She was a 1961 graduate of Leesburg High School and continued her education graduating  from Vogue Cosmetology, South Bend, Indiana. She worked as the Leesburg Elementary Cafeteria Manager with 30 years of service for Warsaw Community Schools and was the owner of Cindy’s Beauty Mist for 20 years. Cindy will be lovingly remembered by her husband: Jerry Kammerer of Leesburg; children: Scott (Janet) Kammerer, Todd (Shelly) Kammerer, and Bart Kammerer (companion Melissa Lengerich) all of Leesburg; siblings: Sheri Bleile and Staci Smith both of Warsaw; and sister-in-law, Judi Smith.  In addition, she is survived by grandchildren; Megan (fiancé Adam Sanford) of Warsaw, Hanna Kammerer of Leesburg, Taylor Kammerer of Oklahoma, Jena Kammerer of Warsaw, Abbey Kammerer and Mason Kammerer both of Leesburg, and Broc Fraley of Leesburg; great grandchildren: Isaac and Oliver Kammerer, Colin Sanford, and Kash Kammerer. She was preceded in passing by brother, Doug Smith. A visitation is planned from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 17, 2021 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service in celebration of her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday November 18, 2021 in the funeral chapel. Pastor Rob Seewald will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg, Indiana. Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
