Cy A Gates, 58, of 117 Monroe St., Mentone, Indiana46539, died on 6/18/2009 at 12:18 AM at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on May 2, 1951 in Warsaw, Indiana. Cy was born to James and Dorothy (Golden) Gates. He was a life-long Kosciusko, Indiana resident. He was employed by Kralis Brothers, Inc. of Mentone, Indiana as a Line Operator for many years.Cy faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army, retiring from the Army Reserve in 2001. He served abrod in Desert Strom and Honduras. Cy is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Xiqui of Warsaw, Indiana, his son, Steve Gates of Warsaw, Indiana, two brothers, including: Audie Gates of Knox, Indiana and David Gates of Panama City, Florida. In addition, Cy is survived by his father, James Gates of Panama City, Florida and two grandchildren, Deigo and Jordy Xiqui of Warsaw, Indiana. He was preceded by his mother. Funeral service will be privately held and not open to the public. Calling hours will be 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2009. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery - Warsaw, Indiana.
