Charles Edgar Stone III, 86, passed away peacefully with his children by his bedside on June 28, 2026.
Born on November 19, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, Charles, also known as Chuck, was the oldest son of 8 born to Charles E. and Ruth (Shippy) II. He graduated from Crete-Monee High School in Crete, Illinois.
Chuck would move to Warsaw, Indiana in 1966 after being transferred from R.R. Donnelley in the Chicago area to the Warsaw location. He would attend Purdue University and graduated with a bachelor degree in business management. Chuck proudly worked for R.R. Donnelley for 42 years, retiring as a supervisor in 2002.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Chuck was always happy loved seeing people. He was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed racing.
Chuck is survived by his children: Mike Stone of Fort Wayne, Christina Stone of New Haven and Jeff Craddock of Warsaw; siblings: Robert Stone, Martha Gruberman and Barbara Robinson along with numerous nieces and nephews; and his adopted European family Driton, Drita and Denis Nushi.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita in 2004, and his siblings: Virginia, Joyce, Kathleen and Steven.
Per his wishes cremation will take place and no formal services will be held. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, Warsaw, is handling arrangements.
