Charles Bernard Cavert passed in peace on September 13, 2019. He and his wife, Lisa, shared forty-eight years of marriage. He was born in Peru, Indiana, September 17,1945. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1963; attended Manchester College where he played football for two years before transferring to McPherson College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial arts. He later obtained his masters from Ball State University in 1973. Charles was employed by Warsaw Community Schools for thirty-five years as an industrial arts instructor. He also worked in the sales department at Main Channel Marina for twenty-eight years. He enjoyed boating, skiing, riding his Harley, and fishing with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a teacher, mentor, coach, and friend. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Cilissa(Reid) Mellott and Ashley(Mark) Buuck; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be September 17, 2019, from 4 to 7 P.M in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. His funeral service will be September 18, 2019, at 10:00 A.M at the Funeral Chapel. Private interment services will be held in Peoria Cemetery, Miami County, IN. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to North Webster United Methodist Church or Kosciusko County Toys for Tots.
