Carolyn S. Combs

Carolyn S Combs, age 67, of Silver Lake, Indiana passed away Sunday February 3, 2013 at 9:07 AM at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, IN. She was born August 24, 1945 in Elwood, Indiana to Ralph and Mary (McMinn) Shepard. She married Bob Combs in Bedford, Indiana on November 13, 1964 who preceded her in death. She was a teacher’s aid for 10 years at Silver Lake Elementary School. She also was a cashier at Owens Supermarket for 17 years. Carolyn was a member of the Silver Lake Wesleyan Church.Carolyn loved her grandchildren and the Cubs. She is survived by two daughters, Ann (and spouse Derek) Shilling, Silver Lake and Missy (and spouse John) Helton of Silver Lake; one son, Mike Combs of Wabash, Indiana. Two grandchildren, Vinny and Scout Shilling. She is also survived by two brothers, Terry (and spouse Judy) Shepard of Fairmont, Indiana and Jim Shepard of Elwood, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother. A funeral service with be at 11:00 am Thursday, February 7, 2013 at McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Jim Robbins officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake. Visitation will be Wednesday February 6, 2013 from 2:00pm- 7:00pm at the funeral chapel.
