Carolyn G. Sapp

Carolyn G. Sapp, 62 of Pierceton, Indiana passed away at 2:45 am Sunday, May 28, 2017 in her residence. On September 24, 1954, she was born in Jackson, Kentucky to Weldon and Edith (Burton) Minnix. She was united in marriage to Barry Sapp on August 25, 1973 in Packerton, Indiana, who survives. Living most of her life in the Pierceton area, Carolyn graduated from Whitko High School,, Class of 1972. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, music, singing, and spending time with her family and her beloved dog Dylan. Carolyn is survived by her husband of forty three years, Barry Sapp, Pierceton; three children, Wendi (Angela) Sapp, North Manchester, Shane (Jamie) Sapp, Pierceton and Shawn (Shelley Clark) Sapp, Larwill; ten grandchildren, Logan Sapp, Blake Sapp, Lyndsey Sapp, Brianna Clark, Cameron Sapp, Lucas Clark, Logan Patrick, R.J. Patrick, Hannah Brown and Adryanna Jefferson. She is also survived by two sisters, Freda Boggs, South Whitley, Brenda Norris, Boswell, Oklahoma and her brother, Lowell Minnix, Pierceton. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 1, 2017 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor Jim Baughman officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Visitation hours will be from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the Pierceton Funeral Chapel.
