Carol Sue Edmonds, age 66, of Leesburg Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 6:30 a.m. in her residence. Carol was born December 17, 1953 in Peru, Indiana to Dale and Frances Cook. She was united in marriage to Kevin Edmonds on February 12, 1993 in North Manchester, Indiana. Carol was a person of many talents. She worked in the medical field for most of her professional career as a CMA and receptionist. She also briefly worked as a bus driver for WCS. She took pride in keeping a tidy home, freezing, and canning produce from her own garden, and making fair entries. This also carried over to her involvement with the county extension homemakers club where she served as club and county president. In her short retirement she volunteered at Magical Meadows and the Beaman Home. Her spare time was also filled with music as a player of the clarinet, bells, and hand chimes. She was a self-taught piano player. As a member of Walnut Creek UMC she loved God and her church, serving on church committees and as a lay delegate. Carol was an extensive traveler having visited all fifty states and many foreign countries. She regretted not being able to visit Italy this year with her daughter due to the COVID. She treasured the time she got to spend with the grandkids, especially when they were able to have extended visits. She was a member of the Indiana Extension Homemakers Association and the American Association of Medical Assistants. Carol is survived by husband, Kevin Edmonds, Leesburg; children, Justin (Kim) Land, New Carlisle, Mariel (Christopher) Hendricks, Avon, and Kylie (Kevin) McLenithan, Chicago, IL; siblings, Ron (Maureen) Cook, Peru, Shirley (Larry) Wentzel, Mt. Vernon, Ellen (Michael) Lo, Killeen, TX, and Nancy (Ed Leese) Cook, Camby. In addition, she is survived by four grandchildren, Katie and Ben Land, and Claire and Landon Hendricks. She was preceded in death by both parents. A visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
