Carl L. Morrison

Carl L. Morrison, 74 of Claypool, Indiana passed away at 5:03 am on Sunday, May 11, 2014 in his residence. On October 1, 1938, he was born in Pierceton, Indiana to Walter and Irene (Froh) Morrison. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. Carl was united in marriage to Avadean Allen on April 9, 1976 in Clintwood, Virginia. He worked for Dalton Foundry as a Core Maker for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. He attended First Baptist Church, Pierceton and was a member of the Dalton Club. He is survived by his wife, Avadean “Deana’ Morrison, Claypool; two daughters, Leigh (and spouse Chris) Antwright, High Point, North Carolina and Robin Garrard, Sidney; two sons, Duane (and spouse Linda) Morrison, Lakeside, California and Brian (and spouse Rita) Boocher, Sidney; two sisters, Wanda (and spouse Charles) Thurman, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Connie Kehoe, Warsaw; one brother, Maurice Morrison, Leesburg; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Ed Kehoe. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, May 15, 2014 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Visitation hours will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 14, 2014 in the funeral chapel.
