Carl E. Ritchison, age 86, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 6:27 AM in his residence. He was born on May 2, 1932 in Tennessee City, TN to Jesse Lloyd and Edna Pearl (Ewing) Ritchison. On June 23, 1962 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Werstler in Pierceton, Indiana. He lived most of his life and all of his marriage in Kosciusko County. Carl proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served in the Motor Pool Unit and reached the rank of Sergeant during the Korean War. After returning home he worked for Farm Bureau Co-op for 15 years, then he worked for the Penguin Point franchise from 1967 until 1997, when he retired. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw and sang in the church choir for 50 years. In addition, he was a member of the American Legion Post #49, Pierceton Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite-Fort Wayne, and the Kosciusko County Shrine Club where he served as past President in 1982 and a member of the Mini Biker Patrol. Carl loved spending time with his family over spring breaks in Florida at Daytona Beach. A very memorable time in his life took place on September 27, 2017 when he was able to participate in The Honor Flight trip #25 to Washington D.C. He is survived by his Wife; Marilyn Ritchison of Warsaw, Son; Rock L. (spouse Jennifer) of Booneville, IN, Brothers; Fearol Baxter and Robin Ritchison both of Tippecanoe, IN, Grandchildren; Kelli (spouse Adam) Lehman of Newburgh, IN, and Troy Ritchison of Booneville, IN. He was preceded in death by 3 Siblings. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 2-4 PM 6-8 PM with a Masonic Service at 7:30 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM in Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw. Pastor Ernie Troxell will officiate. Interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery with military honors.
