Carl Arnett

Carl Arnett, 86, of Pierceton, passed away at The Estelle Peobody Memorial Home in North Manchester, Indiana, on January 18, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on November 24, 1939, in West Prestonsburg, Kentucky, he was the son of Corbin and Minerva (Hackworth) Arnett.

On May 24, 1963, in Celina, Tennessee, he married his love Joyce Gibson. When they started their life together he worked as a milkman. He then went on to work for Clausing Manufacturing until it closed. Carl then became the owner of Warsaw Muffler. He sold the business in 1998.

Carl was a member of the Harvest Community Church in Pierceton. He and Joyce would raise four children up knowing the love of Jesus. Carl was known to be very competitive. He enjoyed the game of golf and was an avid bowler. He had won many trophies over the years. He also loved anything having to do with cars.

Carl is survived by his children: Tina (Wayne) Burkhart, Kristi (Patrick) Higgins, Sherri (Chris) Shepherd, Staci (Jason) Sigler. Also surviving are Clyde (Becky) Arnett, Sue Johnson, Sandra (Ruben) Rose, Patty (Deno) Johnson, Greg (Donna) Arnett, Nancy (Will) Bentley, Joyce Hamman, Kathy Kemerly, Tim Arnett, Rick (Laura) Arnett, Debbie (Rick) Carter, ten grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce (2018), parents, 2 brothers, Claude and Paul, 2 sisters, Mildred and Cleo, and one grandson.

A visitation in Carl’s honor will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 10-12:00pm at the Harvest Community Church, 512 South 7th Street, Pierceton, IN, 46562. Services will follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Glenn Hall officiating.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.
