C. John Kehoe, age 97, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at 5:40 pm at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. On March 14, 1915, John was born to Leo and Betty (Smith) Kehoe in Sherwood, MI. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, graduating from Warsaw High School in 1933. On April 17, 1937, he married June Weiss who passed away in January 1992, and on October 9, 1993, he married L. Maxine Pifer who passed away October 24, 2012.John was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Warsaw, IN. He achieved his 32nd degree as a Mason and was a member of the Warsaw Masonic Lodge #73, and was a member of the National Guard. John was a foreman for Gast Construction for thirty years. He enjoyed his favorite sports events of golf, pro- football, and pro-baseball with his favorite teams of the Cincinnati Reds and Indiana University Basketball teams.John is survived by his three daughters, Dixie Kraus (spouse Jim) Warsaw, IN; Connie Hayden (spouse Bruce), Warsaw, IN; Pam Craig (spouse Dick) of South Bend, IN, along with step-children Steve Pifer (spouse Lois) of Savannah, GA; Doug Pifer (companion Kim) of Warsaw, IN; and Carolyn Lutes (spouse Mike) of Warsaw, IN. John also is survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving is a sister Ethel Lou Goodrich of North Port, FL, and a brother L. Edward Kehoe (spouse Connie) of Warsaw, IN. Funeral services for John will be held Thursday, December 20, 2012,at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church located at 832 E. Center Street, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 19th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the McHatton - Sadler Funeral Chapel of Warsaw. Pastor Dave Hummel will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery. Family has asked for memorials to be made to the Kosciusko County Home Care and Hospice, 902 Provident Drive, Warsaw, IN, or to Trinity United Methodist Church at the above address.
