Brenda S. (Oaks) Campbell, 56 of Claypool, Indiana went to be with Jesus at 12:46 am Thursday, November 27, 2014 at DuPont Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was a three time cancer survivor. On February 14, 1958, she was born to Elmer and Vernie (Smith) Oaks. She was a graduate of Argos High School. Brenda was united in marriage to Richard Campbell Sr., on September 2, 1977, who survives. She worked for the United Postal Service for twenty two years, retiring in 2014. Brenda was the First Lady of New Vision Church Ministries that she and her husband founded due to their love for Jesus and wanting people to know him as their Lord and Savior. She is survived by her husband, Richard Campbell Sr., Claypool; three children, Jamie Barhydt, Warsaw, Dawn Campbell, South Whitley and Elijah Campbell, Goshen; two grandchildren, Jayla and Jeffrey Barhydt; step son, Ricky (and spouse Tracy) Campbell Jr., Warsaw; two step grandchildren, Kyle and Cain Campbell; six brothers, David Oaks, Larry (and spouse Paula) Oaks, Michael (and spouse Juli) Oaks, Mark (and spouse Lori) Oaks, Johnny Oaks, James (and spouse Susan) Oaks; three sisters, Wilma Rock, Pearlie Oaks, Lorene (and spouse James) Hetler and twenty eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Michelle Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation, 3500 DePauw Blvd., Suite 2070, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268.
