Bonnie Lou Sexton

Bonnie Lou (Adkins) Sexton, 71 of Pierceton, Indiana passed away at 10:22 pm Monday, August 4, 2014 in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. On July 12, 1943, Bonnie was born in McDowell, Floyd County, Kentucky to Cecil and Gladys “Pet” (Osborne) Adkins. She was united in marriage to Ronnie Sexton on July 11, 1960 in Martin, Kentucky, who survives. Bonnie moved to Kosciusko County from Floyd County, Kentucky fifty years ago. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church, Pierceton. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Sexton, Pierceton; four children, Donald (and spouse Janice) Sexton, Pierceton, Connie (and spouse Ronald) Sexton Ringle, Pierceton, Christina (and spouse Edward) Sexton Hartman, Manitowoc, Wisconsin and James Sexton, Pierceton; her mother, Gladys “Pet” (Osborne) Adkins, Langley, Kentucky; four sisters, Jewel (and spouse Ernest) Adkins Shepherd, Wabash, Barbara (and spouse Douglas) Adkins Hicks, Hueysville, Kentucky, Betty Adkins Sexton, Pierceton and Bertha (and spouse Roger) Adkins Duff, West Liberty, Kentucky; one brother, Ronnie (and spouse Theresa) Adkins, Langley, Kentucky. Bonnie was blessed with sixteen grandchildren and an abundance of great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dad in July of 1985. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, August 8, 2014 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating. Burial will be in Hiilcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Visitation hours are from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the funeral chapel in Pierceton.
