Bonnie Jean Gist, 84 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away in Kosciusko Community Hospital on Sunday April 9, 2017 at 6:30 a.m. She was born on July 5, 1932 to Ralph and Cora Swartzlander Rohrer in Clunette, Indiana. She was attended Atwood School. She married Bobby Gist on July 31, 1976 in Warsaw, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2015. Bonnie and Bobby moved to Arkansas in 1976, living there for 26 years. They returned to Warsaw on April 10, 2000. She was a homemaker. Bonnie worked for the Times-Union Newspaper as a newspaper deliver from 1960 to 1976. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Warsaw and also the AARP. She is survived by her daughter, Merla Mae (spouse Mitchell) Ousley, Warsaw; a son, David Jr. (spouse Cathi) Bryant, Nappanee; grandchildren, Josh and Natalie Ousley and Daisy (spouse Jason) Hollon all of Warsaw, Tracey (spouse Matt) Ingle, Tina (spouse Scott) Allen, Dava Bryant and Matthew (spouse KC) Bryant and Matthew Hummel all of Nappanee, Indiana; 11 great grandchildren Brother, Warren (spouse Renie) Rohrer of Warsaw. She is preceded in death by first husband, Reverend David Bryant and her second husband Leroy McDonald, a daughter Dava Jean Bryant, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. A funeral service will be held on Thursday April 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the United Pentecostal Church, Warsaw with Doctor Dan Cox officiating. Burial will be in Island Cemetery, Milford, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
