Betty Lou Gebert

Betty Lou Gebert, 86 of Pierceton, Indiana passed Monday December 11, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City, Indiana. She was born on May 6, 1931 to Glen and Grace (O’Connell) Neer in Warsaw. She has been a lifetime residence of Kosciusko County. She was united in marriage to Donald Gebert on December 15, 1952 in Pierceton. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She worked for The Pizza Stop, Video Store and as a beautician all in Pierceton. Betty loved planting flowers, crocheting, redecorating the house. She was a very hard working woman as she passed that on to her children. She is survived by her husband, Donald Gebert of Pierceton; her children, David (Kim) Gebert of Boca Raton, Florida, Brian (Kim) Gebert of Warsaw and Melissa (Rick) Bollinger of South Whitley, Indiana; grandchildren, Nick and Alexis Gebert, Toby Jackson, Crystal, Chloe, Kendal and R.J. Bollinger and niece, Randy Mitchell. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dick and Bob Neer. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday December 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton with Lew Collier officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 13, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pierceton Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. The family is kindly requesting that the memorial contribution be made to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, P.O. Box 1906, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1906.
