Betty Burkett

Betty L. Burkett, age 71, of Pierceton, IN passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 8:37 PM in Parkview Regional Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born September 15, 1942 in Emma, KY to Elkana and Louverna (Osborn) Sexton. She was a 47-year resident of Kosciusko County and formerly resided in Floyd County, KY. She was united in marriage to Donald Burkett in Floyd County, KY on August 3, 1959. Donald preceded her in 2002. She is retired from Stonehenge Golf Course where she was employed as a Cook and is a member of the Harvest Community Church, Pierceton. Survivors include daughters Donna (spouse Robert) Tusing of Mesquite, TX; Annie (spouse Mandy) Espinoza ; Mary Alley and son Jerry Burkett all of Pierceton, IN; five brothers; four sisters; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister also preceded her. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw, Indiana.
