Bessie Jackson

Bessie Jackson, 90 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away 1:40 am Monday, December 5, 2016 in Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake, Indiana. On February 20, 1926, she was born in Paintsville, Kentucky to Elliott and Creasy (Spencer) Ratliff. She was united in marriage to Haskell Jackson on August 13, 1945 in Paintsville, Kentucky, who preceded her in death in July of 1987. Bessie has been a resident of Warsaw for over sixty years. She was a homemaker and also worked for JoMac and Dalton Foundry, Warsaw. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She is survived by her son, Virgil (and spouse Maggie) Jackson, Warsaw; two daughters, Sue (and spouse Paul) Caudill, New Holland, Pennsylvania and Brenda (and spouse Jose) Zuniga, Warsaw; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her son, Russell Jackson and nine siblings, most recently by Ruby Meade, Everett Ratliff and Ora Ratliff. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday December 7, 2016 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Dean Ealey officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation hours will be from 11:00 – 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the funeral chapel.
