Barbara Susan Sahagún, age 59, of Plymouth, Indiana passed away Friday January 13, 2012 at 1:35 PM in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, South Bend, IN. She was born September 16, 1952 in Wabash, IN to Mario A. and Dorothy (Haavig) Sahagún. A former Warsaw, IN resident she was employed by the Cardinal Center of Warsaw, IN, Marshall Stark Workshop of Plymouth, IN and the Manitou Center Sheltered Workshop of Rochester, IN. She attended Madison Elementary School Warsaw and the School for the Blind of Indianapolis, IN. She was a participant and award winner in the Kosciusko County Special Olympics. Barbara loved going to movies, listening to “Oldies “ music, building things with her Lego’s, garage sales and camping with her mom and dad. Surviving are her mother Dorothy Sahagún of Bourbon, IN, sisters Marion Ebersole of Bremen, IN, Nancy (spouse Carlos) Saladino of Chicago, IL and Teresa (spouse Jim) Gill of Warsaw, IN; a brother Kenneth (spouse Theresa) Sahagún of Syracuse, IN; 12 nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews and her beloved caregivers and roommates. Her father preceded her in death. A Service of Christian Burial is scheduled for 1:00 PM Wednesday January 18, 2012 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw, IN. Calling will be two hours prior to the service at the Funeral Chapel. Father Phil DeVolder and Father Bob Lingerich will officiate the services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw, IN.
