Barbara J. Kreis, 69 of Claypool, Indiana passed away at 5:30 am, Saturday, August 23, 2014 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. On May 26, 1945, she was born in Warsaw, Indiana to Rouff and Bertha (Bell) Albertson. She was united in marriage to Dyrell “Buck” Kreis on July 18, 1978 in Claypool, who survives. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Barbara retired from Zimmer Inc., where she worked in the bone cement department. She also was co-owner of Country Pet Shed, Claypool. Barbara was a member of Warsaw Family Worship Center, American Legion Post Auxiliary Post #49, Warsaw and the Moose Lodge, Warsaw. She is survived by her husband, Buck Kreis, Claypool; a son Dyrell A. Kreis of Claypool, IN; her daughter, Janice Dove, Warsaw; two sisters, Linda Elliott, Warsaw and Mary Watson, Sidney; five grandchildren, Zachary (and spouse Morgan) Rautenkranz, Montgomery, New York, Kayla Dove, Warsaw, Jimmy Dove, Warsaw , Payton and Payge Kreis, Claypool ; three great-grandchildren Claire Dove and James Dove, IV and Diana Rautenkranz. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Rautenkranz, two sisters, Wilma Hicks and Velma Spears and her brother, Roger Albertson. A funeral service will be at 10:00 am Thursday, August 28, 2014 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool. Visitation hours will be from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kreis Family, C/o McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
