Barbara G. Rhoades

Due to the current situation of the Coronavirus restrictions the family has decided to make changes to previous funeral plans. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date as conditions allow. Barbara G. Rhoades, age 88, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 6:00 AM in Paddock Springs Assisted Living Facility. Barbara was born on January 14, 1932 in Kosciusko County, Indiana to Millard and Mary (Brown) Wallace. She was united in marriage to Robert Rhoades on November 9, 1951 in Leesburg, Indiana: who preceded her in death in 2013. She graduated from Leesburg High School. She worked as a bindery technician for R.R. Donnelly and was a former telephone operator for the United Telephone Company. Barbara enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of Leesburg Methodist Church. Barbara is survived by children, Todd Rhoades, Teresa Rhoades both of Warsaw, IN; two granddaughters, Jenna (Eric) DeFord of Warsaw, IN, Sara (Steve) Hollar of Leesburg, IN; sister; Margaret “Peg” Shipley of Rome City, IN. In addition, she is survived by 4 great-grandchildren: Braxton and Zach DeFord, Khloe and Logan Hollar, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Rhoades, on August 11, 2013. A Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2020 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
