Barbara A. Gable, 91 of Winona Lake, Indiana passed away at 11:15 pm Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake, Indiana. On October 12, 1923, she was born in Warsaw to Everett and Lucille (Morris) Shipley. Barbara was united in marriage to Duane M. Gable on April 5, 1942 in Warsaw, who survives. A lifetime resident of Warsaw, Barbara was a homemaker and an avid golfer and member of Rozella Golf Course, Warsaw. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, Tri Kappa Sorority and was past president and member of Warsaw Arts and Crafts Club. She loved wintering in Tucson, Arizona. She is survived by her husband of seventy three years, Duane M. Gable, Winona Lake; three children, Pamela (and spouse Michael) Valentine, Warsaw, Nancy Beebe, Wiley, Texas and David (and spouse Karen) Gable, Florence, Kentucky. Barbara is also survived by ten grandchildren, Jon (and spouse Angie) Valentine, Zionsville, David Valentine, Warsaw, Megan (and spouse Pat) Haas, Warsaw, Ashley (and spouse Mark) Ritchie, Union, Kentucky, Allison Gable, Cincinnati, Ohio, Chase Gable, Fort Collins, Colorado, Curtis Gable, Cincinnati, Ohio, Justin (and spouse Rita) Beebe, Boston, Massachusetts, Jennifer Beebe, Wiley, Texas and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Colonel Francis Shipley. There are no services or visitation planned. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Village Healthcare Center, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, Indiana 46590. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw was entrusted with the arrangements.
