Ardeth I Frank

ARDETH ILENE FRANK, (94), passed away on Monday, December 9th, 2024 surrounded by her family at her home in Rochester, Indiana.

Born May 2, 1930, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Dr. Ralph Roscoe Minear and Minnie Kathleen Minear. She worked at the Peabody Free Library while she was a student at Columbia City High School, from which she graduated in 1948. She attended Indiana University and worked at Blue Bell, Inc., and H.R. Frank and Sons Greenhouse. She married Dale Frank, July 22, 1951, at Trinity Methodist Church.

She served for several years as a deaconess, choir member, and organist at Tri Lakes Baptist Church. She was a faithful and hardworking wife and mother. Her spiritual legacy includes teaching her children about Jesus, and spreading the Gospel through quilt making for church auctions. She was dedicated to sharing the Gospel. Ardeth also enjoyed sharing stories of her childhood with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Gloria Jean Minear; her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Richard and Lois Minear; daughter Carol, and her husband. She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Darrell) Turner of Fort Wayne; Linda (Steven) Seidner of Fort Wayne; Daniel Frank of Cullman, AL; Matthew (Lisa) Frank of Rochester, IN; and Joel Frank of Columbia City, IN; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Collamer Christian Church, 5850 S 900 W, South Whitley. Funeral services will follow at 11 with Pastor David Wagner officiating.

Burial will follow in the South Park Cemetery, 1500 S State Road 205, Columbia City.
