Anita Fry

Anita A. Fry, 65, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024 at her home.

Anita was born February 27, 1958 in Ottumwa, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Eileen (Sutton) Leek. She moved to Indiana in 1958. She was united in marriage to Randall Fry on February 26,1983 in Columbia City, Indiana.

She was a graduate of Warsaw High School with the class of 1976. Anita started her career working several years for R. & R. Donnelley and continued her employment as an insurance agent. She worked for State Farm Insurance in Fort Wayne and for Farm Bureau Insurance in Columbia City for 20 years. She retired in 2015 from Star Insurance in Columbia City.

Anita was involved in many activities including being outdoors, fishing, camping, and deer hunting bow and shotgun with her husband Randall. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds, gardening and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Basketball fan. She was a talented keyboardist and pianist playing and singing in the family band. Anita loved her pets, both dogs and cats.

Anita had a strong belief in the Lord. In her younger years she attended First Christian Church, Warsaw and later along with her husband Randall attended the Church of God, Columbia City.

Anita will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Randall Fry of Warsaw, mother, Eileen Leek of Warsaw, siblings Tony Leek and LuAnn Davies. She was preceded in passing by her father Robert Leek, sister Stephanie “Mater” Leek and grandparents Fred and Edna Sutton.

A celebration of Anita’s life will be at a later date. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, Warsaw have been entrusted with arrangements and care.
