Amalia N. Castillo,  of Pierceton, IN, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in Parkview-Wabash Hospital, Wabash, IN. She was born November 14, 1943 in Eagle Pass, TX to Felipe Navarro and Julia Quintero. She was a Pierceton resident since 1966. She was united in marriage to Pedro C. Castillo on December 19, 1965 in Eagle Pass, TX. He preceded her on April 17, 2006. She was formerly employed as a Production Trimmer for DePuy, Inc of Warsaw. Amalia was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Pierceton. She was an avid sports fan particularly the Dallas Cowboys. Her other interests included going to flea markets, playing bingo and watching her grandchildren playing sports, especially soccer. Amalia is survived by her her sons Pedro “Pete” (Glenna) Castillo and Shawn Castillo both of Pierceton, sisters Linda (Ron) Hixson of Eagle Pass, Carolina Quintero of San Antonio, and Maria (Gonzalo) Zavala of Lansing. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren Christian (Jordan) Castillo of North Manchester, Connor Castillo of Pierceton, Crystal Castillo of Warsaw, Chase Castillo of Pierceton, Cody Castillo of Warsaw and a great-grandson Christian “CJ” Castillo, Jr of North Manchester. Also, she was preceded by a sister Frances Gutierrez and brother Armando Quintero. A visitation is planned from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday December 9, 2021 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM  on Friday, December 10, 2021 in Saint Francis Catholic Church, Pierceton. Father Daniel Chukwuleta will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pierceton. Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
