Alton Williamson

Alton Williamson, age 77, of Ona, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. Alton was born on May 1, 1949, in Logan, West Virginia, to Elva and Goldie Williamson.

Alton was a man of faith and a believer in Jesus Christ. He attended Branchland United Baptist Church in Branchland, West Virginia, where his faith was an important part of his life. He found comfort and strength in his relationship with the Lord and looked forward to his eternal home with Jesus.

Alton was first married to Darlene in June of 1969, and together they shared 23 years of marriage and raised their family. Following her passing, Alton later found love again and married Sally (Randolph) Williamson on December 24, 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved granddaughter, Emma Grace Leeman.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sally Williamson; his children, Kimberly (Jimmy) Prater, Sherry (Nick) Leeman, Stephen (Flora) Randolph, and Rebecca Lammott (Chris Inglegart); his sister, Doris (Sonny) Adkins; grandchildren, Justine (Mickey) Tubbs, Sierra Null (Dylan Hooper), Addison Leeman, Emma Grace Leeman, Chelsea, Dustin, Stephanie, Trevor, Taylor, Dorothy, Sophie, Bailey, and Stephen; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Alton was employed for 25 years in the Engineering Department at Zimmer in Warsaw, Indiana. After retiring, he and Sally enjoyed their life together in Ona, West Virginia, where they made their home and shared many special years together.

Alton will be remembered for his love of family, and his faith in Jesus, and the years of memories he created with those he loved. He enjoyed playing Golf with friends and family and watching the Nascar Races. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and has gone home to be with the Lord.

His final arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, where people may visit on Friday August 14, 2026, from 10-11:00 am, with a Graveside service to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, 421 N Maple St., Warsaw, IN.
