Alice Joan Meredith

Joan Meredith, 86, of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Grace Village in Winona Lake.

Joan was born on March 18, 1937 in Laketon, Indiana the daughter of Henry and Mabel (Sickafus) Reiken. She graduated from Laketon High School with the class of 1955.

Joan married Ronald Meredith on December 20, 1958, who proceeds her in passing.

She attended Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in her early years and was a member of Living Hope Ministries. Joan was very involved with her church and dedicated her time to serving the church and attending prayer meetings. Joan donated a lot of time to the Special Olympics and enjoyed playing boardgames with her family, especially Aggravation. She enjoyed her time in the garden and making homemade noodles for her family.

Joan will be lovingly remembered by children Ruth (Jeff) Truex of Goshen, daughter-in-law Tammy Meredith, Marina Patrick of Leesburg, Keith Meredith of Warsaw, and Michele Walters of Warsaw; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and siblings Ruth Calhoun of North Manchester, James (Jacksie) Reiken of Mentone, and Suzie (Walt) Brown of Roanoke.

She was preceded in passing by her husband Ronald, son Michael Meredith, a son-in-law, a brother, and 6 sisters.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Joan’s life will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in the funeral chapel with Pastor Hedgel Perry officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
