Alger Jackson, age 93, of Warsaw, IN passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in his residence. He was born January 1, 1924 in Sublett, KY to Benjamin and Emily (Marshall) Jackson. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army from 1943 to 1945 serving with Company A 359 th Engineer Service Regiment serving in Normandy, Northern France, and the Rhineland-Central Europe campaigns. A Kosciusko County resident since 1946 he was united in marriage to Angie D. England on August 9, 1946 in Warsaw. Angie preceded him on April 16, 2010. He was formerly employed by Gripco of South Whitley as a Machinist Setup Lead Man and was a self-employed Farmer. He was member of the Mixed Bowling League at Gilliam Lanes. Survivors include his daughters Sue (spouse Phil) Stiver of Warsaw, Kathie (spouse Paul) Beery of Claypool, Jerrollene Reese (companion Mike England) of Akron and Deborah Geiger of Winona Lake. Furthermore, 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren survive along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation hours are scheduled from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, September 29, 2017 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 Am Saturday, September 30, 2017 in the Funeral Chapel with Elder and long- time friend Gary Hurd officiating. Interment will be in Mentone Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the North Webster American Legion Post #253 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
