Alberta Wamsley, 86, of Warsaw, died Sunday August 14, 2022 at Peabody Retirement Community. She was born on March 1, 1936 in Bonnie Blue, Virginia, the daughter of (the late) Stallard & Edith (Moore) McNutt and graduated from Mississinewa High School with the Class of ’54. Alberta was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening and quilting. She retired as an administrative assistant from Zimmer Biomet and afterwards became the founder and owner of the Thorn Tree Hill Herb Farm, having earned her Master Gardener Certificate from Purdue University. Alberta is survived by her children, George Edward Timmons, Kelly (Kimmi) Timmons and Shelly Timmons, all of Warsaw; grandchildren, Carrie Ann Timmons of Kendallville, Ashley (Shawn) Black of Winona Lake, Amarae Dilley of Warsaw, Kayn Dilley of Warsaw and Amanda (Barbara) Chipps of Kokomo; great-grandchildren, Hayley Timmons of North Webster, Laney Dilley, Kaysen Dilley and Gracie Black, all of Warsaw, Katie Bloom of Winona Lake and McCoy Chipps of Kokomo. In addition to her parents, Alberta was also preceded in death by her brother, Lorin McNutt; her sister, Watheta McNutt and nephew, Kent McNutt. Mass of Christian Resurrection 11:00 Friday August 19, 2022 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 135 N. Harrison St, Warsaw, IN 46580. Visitation from 10-11am Friday in the Church.
